Styles and sizing 

Should I order a size larger than I need?

No. Our sizes are generous, with deep arm holes and wide neck openings. This ensures our Petal Back styles slide easily on and off when dressing and undressing. For our adaptive clothes, simply order the same size as the wearer’s standard clothes.

Do the styles co-ordinate together?

Yes! We take great care when choosing patterns and colours to provide a variety of well-coordinated looks for clients’ different tastes and preferences. In particular, our singlets and ponchos are popular for an extra layer of warmth under or over other Petal Back garments.

Can you help me choose styles?

Yes! Some clothing items have lots of colours and patterns, so you’ll see an option 'Choose for me’. This is popular with partners who aren’t sure which styles to buy.

  1. Select 'Choose for me' as the colourText reads 'Please choose for me' - if you would like us to select for you, simply select the size and quantity and we'll take care of the decision.
  2. Select your size
  3. Add the quantity
  4. That's it! You can also add a note in the Checkout window, for example if you'd like us to choose a selection of blues or a selection of pinks etc.

Fabrics and washing/care

Will the clothes survive the hospital or residential home laundry?

Yes! All fabrics have been tested to withstand industrial laundering, while keeping their softness to ensure they remain gentle on skin. They are easy to wash and don’t need to be ironed.

What are your clothes made of?

All products in our online store list the specific fabric. Our nightwear and singlet are poly/cotton knit. Daywear is polyester knit. Both have the advantage of being very gentle against the skin.

Use in residential care or hospital settings

Can I ask nursing staff to use your products?

Yes. They are easy for any staff to put on and take off. We have a short video and step-by-step guides at How Petal Back clothing works.

Are Petal Back garments suitable for residents using a hoist?

Yes. All Petal Back adaptive styles can be put on and taken off when sitting or lying. The wearer does not need to be lifted or rolled.

Do you provide brochures or pricelists?

Yes! We are happy to offer our brochures for display in any facility so interested families can find out more. Contact us if you’d like us to send some to you.

Payments and shipping

Can I pay by bank transfer?

Yes. To do this:

  1. At the checkout, in the payments section select 'Bank Transfer' instead of 'Credit card', shown in the image.
  2. Select 'Complete order'. On the next screen, you will see the bank account details.
  3. Once the transfer is received, we'll process your order the same or next business day. 

Do you ship internationally from Australia?

Yes, we can ship to anywhere Australia Post delivers to. Find out about Shipping and returns.

Note: overseas customers may be liable for import duty tax or tariff. Check with your local customs office before you place an order.

Can you invoice the Trustee responsible for a resident’s financial affairs?

Yes, we can send the account separately to the Trustee or Relative. A family member or Nurse Unit Manage (NUM) can provide details of the authorised company for us to send the invoice to.
